Hayley Matcham

Hayley is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 10 years experience in the retail and the Self Managed Super Fund sectors. Having previously worked in London and Sydney, she has been with NCA since 2010.

Hayley achieved her SPAA Professional Certificate in Self Managed Superannuation with the University of Adelaide as part of her desire to stay on top of the complex and dynamic world of superannuation legislation.

She is committed to helping clients get the most out of their hard earned superannuation dollars with smart tax planning and strategies, and assists clients with an understanding of super during both their working life and throughout retirement.

James Newcombe
James NewcombeDirector, BBus CA
As a qualified CA, James has diverse experience in the accounting and superannuation industries. Having acquired the business of a sole practitioner in 1994, James co-founded NCA Accountants with Rex Atkins in 2001, and has since seen the business grow and mature into what is now an established multi-disciplinary accounting firm. In a previous role at Perpetual Trustees, James worked with superannuation clients for 10 years, ensuring they had access to the best strategies to grow and protect their superannuation dollars. On the back of this experience and together with Rex, James launched Your Super Specialist, and now shares a wealth of invaluable superannuation knowledge with a large number of business clients, including farmers and high net worth individuals, completing over 80 audits annually as an ASIC registered Self managed super fund auditor.

Away from work, James is kept busy with his family and is also on the board of the Inventors Association Australia WA. He enjoys boating & fishing and is a passionate supporter of the West Coast Eagles.

Rex Atkins
Rex AtkinsDirector, BBus, CA
Rex is a Chartered Accountant and co-founder of NCA Accountants. With his career spanning 30 years, including a six-year stint as a Financial Controller for a national retail brand, Rex has been focused on the development of SMSF capabilities within NCA since it’s inception in 2001 – fundamentally building a platform for the launch of Your Super Specialist. As an ASIC registered Self managed super fund auditor, Rex audits around 100 super funds every year. Together with James, he works closely with clients to ensure they maximise the benefits of investing in super. He also works with a large number of business clients, including listed companies across a multitude of industries.

With four children of his own, Rex found time to sit on the board of Catholic primary school for six years, including two as chairman, and has walked 700 kilometres across Spain!

Samantha Ballantyne
Samantha BallantyneOffice Manager
In 2018 we had the pleasure of welcoming our new office manager Samantha to the team. Sam has a tonne of experience in the office arena and loves watching a good footy game with a glass of great vino. Sam is here to help make things in your Self managed super fund world run smoother.

Outside of work Sam keeps herself busy with her two daughters and her very energetic dogs. She has a diverse set of skills that make her thrive in this role and she is only a phone call away.
